The Coffee Ratio editorial team is a small group of specialty coffee enthusiasts, daily home brewers, and coffee writers who calibrate every ratio recommendation against SCA Golden Cup Standards and published extraction research. Our content is reviewed against the current SCA Brewing Handbook and validated against James Hoffmann's The World Atlas of Coffee and Scott Rao's The Professional Barista's Handbook. We test every calculator output by hand and verify grind size recommendations against each method's actual extraction dynamics.
